Vrindavan is a town in north central India, about ninety miles southeast of Delhi. It was in Vrindavan that the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Krishna, displayed His transcendental pastimes during His appearance on this planet around five thousand years ago.
According to the teachings of Lord Chaitanya, the earthly Vrindavan is a replica of Goloka Vrindavan, Lord Krishna’s eternal abode in the spiritual sky. Great souls with transcendental vision can actually perceive this and worship Vrindavan as non-different from the Lord Himself.
Vrindavan and Mathura are the most important places of pilgrimage for devotees of Krishna. Krishna was born in Mathura and spent His childhood in Vrindavan.
As a regular feature, KRISHNA CONSCIOUSNESS MOVEMENT conducts trips to different DHAMS in India and all over. Many families have benefited from this unique opportunity & got innumerable unforgettable experiences of these beautiful DHAMS.
Every year KRISHNA CONSCIOUSNESS MOVEMENT takes devotees from all over India on such Yatras (A Spiritual Journey) to various holy places in India.
These Yatras give devotees an opportunity to perform the devotional activity of shravanam (hearing) of hari-katha. Shravanam done in the association of devotees, in a holy dhama, is said to award one immense devotional merits.
